After our first decent night's sleep, we had to be up early again. This time for a short but ride to the Denali stop of the Alaska Railroad. These are the large glass domed cars that you see in the ads. For the most part, I'll let the pictures do the talking for this ride. Of note though is that the AC in the car we were on was not working in the front. Thus, it was quite warm for the entire trip (all day).
We were told that only about 30% of the people can see Mount Denali from the train due to clouds. Less than 10% get a day that was a clear as we had. It was a great ride, except for the hot car.
Once we got to Anchorage, it was a short bus ride from the rail depot to the hotel. We then had a short time before we took a sightseeing trolley. As you can see from the pictures, we saw more wildlife, right in Anchorage. Three baby moose, with mama moose. The mama moose is behind the trees where the babies were grazing.
